Cards of Hope

After receiving a Care Package, patients then receive a monthly card for one year. Each card includes a silly joke and an inspirational Bible verse, to lift the spirits of all who read it.

Cards of Hope are creatively colored and decorated, then personalized with the volunteer’s first name, age, and state. Volunteers are also encouraged to write a short message in the space provided, which makes patients feel loved and valued. Every card and letter is made through the collaborative effort of volunteers in our Hope Centers, as well as in schools, churches, community organizations, corporations, and homes across the United States. Join us in spreading encouragement and God’s love!

We provide ongoing support by way of encouraging cards, testimonies, and devotional letters, which are mailed to our friends with cancer. Our purpose: to bring consistent hope and support. If you are personally affected by cancer, opt-in to receive Cards of Hope.

Every card, letter, and postcard is made through the collaborative effort of volunteers and staff in our Hope Centers, as well as in schools, churches, and homes across the United States.

We Could Really Use Your Help!

Everything that you need to get started is below. First, open and download or print the following guide for instructions. NOTE: Please DO NOT use phrases such as “Get well soon” or “Feel better soon.” Instead, use encouraging phrases such as “We are rooting for you,” “Be strong,” “Be brave,” “Cheering you on,” “God loves you,” “You are loved,” etc.

Please choose from the templates below. Each template has a joke and matching themed artwork. The blank template is an open canvas if you want to be more creative and draw your own artwork. Print on the front and back of each 8-1/2×11 paper and have fun coloring! Since each printer is different, please make sure the entire image/verbiage is visible before you print.

Please note: It is important to use standard copy paper and print double-sided when printing the cards. Do not use cardstock. Only use crayons and colored pencils. Do not use markers, they bleed through the paper.

Completed cards can be mailed to our home office, 1249 Arrowhead Court, Crown Point, IN 46307, or personally delivered to any Phil’s Friends locations.
