How do I request a Care Package?
Complete a request form or contact us. You will need to provide the name and mailing address of the intended recipient and indicate the appropriate type of Care Package. We will need some information from you along with a valid email address, but your information is always kept confidential.
What goes inside of a Care Package?
Care Packages contain meaningful and useful items that cancer patients need and enjoy. Such items include a blanket, hat, soft footwear, journal, water bottle, puzzle book, lotion, lip balm, Bible and more. There are different varieties of these items for men, women, teenagers and children and they are gender specific.
Does Phil’s Friends only send Care Packages?
Every patient will initially receive one Care Package. Following the Care Package, they can expect to receive weekly Cards of Hope.
How long do you send cards to patients?
There is no term limit for this. We send Cards of Hope throughout a patient’s journey until notified otherwise.
How much does it cost to support a cancer patient?
The initial Care Package costs the organization approximately $50 and it costs $20 to support each patient for one year through our Cards of Hope program.
How do I know if someone has already requested a Care Package for someone?
Submit your request anyway. We check every request against our database to ensure that there are no duplicate requests.
How is the organization funded?
As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, tax-deductible donations cover 100% of our costs.
Can I organize a Care Package item drive?
Yes, but before you do, contact us to get a list of our most urgent needs. We can also help you figure out the logistics of getting your donated items to our Hope Center.
