I was sick and you looked after me…

“Just a note to thank you for your support…
for the care package, cards of hope and the little notes along the way. I also wanted to share the good news – I am now in remission!
Every day is a blessing and I owe it all to you, my friends, and my family. Thank you for all the prayers sent my way. Keep doing what you do. It means so much for someone battling cancer.”
“You have no idea how much I needed this today…”

Through it all…Hope is stronger.

Barb and Mike Maloney were both diagnosed with cancer in 2017. Their daughter reached out to Phil’s Friends and requested a package for each of them.
They found every single item in the care package useful but realized that there is so much more to this lovingly decorated box. It also brings faith, hope, love, and positivity to the recipients, as well as the caregivers and requesters of the package.
Mike donated time introducing Phil’s Friends to colleagues and acquaintances from local organizations and businesses. Even after being re-diagnosed, he continued to connect administrations with PF representatives and encourage residents to get involved while in the hospital and rehab centers. Although Mike passed away in January of this year, Barbara carries on their passion and spreads the word about the mission of Phil’s Friends. We are grateful.
New Hospital Partnership
Bringing Hope to Cancer Patients
Phil’s Friends Partners with Franciscan Health Cancer Center Munster
Munster, IN, Wednesday May 29, 2019 — Cancer is an epidemic that affects all people, either directly or indirectly. While undergoing treatment for this disease, patients need more than just medical support. Hope has been identified as having therapeutic value for those affected by cancer. Our desire is to come alongside patients by way of spiritual, emotional, and practical support that leaves them hope-filled.
We are overjoyed to announce further expansion of our hospital program with the recent partnership at the Franciscan Health Cancer Center Munster. This partnership means more of those affected by cancer will experience comprehensive care while receiving treatment.
Our trained and vetted hospital volunteers began visits May 2
